A film by Frank & Sita Bennett
Intimate. emotional. hopeful.
Rose has been suffering in silence from endometriosis and chronic illness for years. But it's beginning to wear her down. An unexpected act of kindness from a stranger shows her the power human connection during hardship.

This film is dedicated to all women suffering from endometriosis and other menstrual disorders, which are too commonly dismissed as "just period pain."

Any woman with endometriosis knows it's not "just period pain."

... And why is it so common for "period pain" to be associated with the word "just"?

Endometriosis is a chronic, and often debilitating disorder in which tissue similar to the lining of the womb begins to grow in other places, for example, the ovaries and the fallopian tubes.

It affects 1 in 10 menstruating women with varying severity, yet has very little research to support professionals in understanding its cause and treatment, and on average, often takes eight years before proper diagnosis. It has no certain cure, but the severity of symptoms can be managed and abdominal surgery can be used to remove the tissue.

Frank and Sita created this film based on Sita's experience, to spread awareness for the disorder, and attempt to express a degree of the impact it can have on women's lives - who, like Sita, often end up enduring in silence.
